Party planning

So now that J's birthday is past us, it's time to focus on A's first birthday. I can't believe my baby girl will be one in just over 8 weeks! Where has the time gone?

The theme will be Princess and the Frog. I don't allow A to watch TV, but I've found that this movie is the only thing that will calm a fussy baby down in no time. I think it's the music/singing more than anything, but she loves it. So when she's not feeling well, we sit down and listen to the movie. I figure what better theme than the one thing that makes her the happiest.

If you know me, you know I love to go all out for my kid's birthdays. J has always had blowout parties that take me months to plan and make everything for, so A's will be no exception. I've been planning this party ever since I settled on a theme and now it's time to start getting things ready. Currently I'm in the process of making her "storybook" invitations, table centerpieces, her birthday dress, birthday banner, photo timeline, and so much more. My mind is so full of ideas, I can't seem to keep them straight. I swear I've made about a dozen lists so far.

So that's where all of my available attention is going these days. I just hope I can manage my time enough so I'm not too overwhelmed as the day gets closer. I'll update more as things progress, but for now that is all I have.
