I guess since I'm starting the blog here, I might as well give a life starting point. You know, in case someone reads this who has no clue who I am, lol.
My name is Amanda. I'm currently a stay at home mom to two wonderful children. I'm married to a great man who I never thought would be mine. I tell you, I feel like the luckiest girl in the world (cheesy, I know). I'm trying to start up an online shop for baby items I make here at home. I'm nervous about taking the plunge, although I won't actually have to invest anything (other than time). I guess I'm afraid of failing. Oh well, you never know until you try. So, keep an eye out for a post about that soon :)
My husband is Jamie. He's a hard working man who does all he can to provide for his family. I feel so blessed that he does all he does for us, so I am able to stay home and care for our family. Although, just like most couples, we do have our moments where we cannot stand each other. But through it all, we keep one promise to each other... always communicate. No matter how upset we get, we talk it through, and soon realize how silly we're being. Communication is the key, remember that!
Then there's my handsome son, J. He'll be 8 soon, although I think he thinks he's turing 18. At this time we are dealing with manners and proper ways to communicate (told you it was key). He doesn't quite understand that the tone of your voice says more than your words. I'm not sure how to make that clear to him, he dosen't seem to get it yet. He'll be starting third grade come fall, and I'm not sure how I feel about that, lol. I'm having a hard time dealing with the fact that I'll have a THIRD grader. Eeek!
Last, but not least, there's my beautiful daughter, A. In about three days she'll be 9 months old! I cannot believe it. This year has gone by so fast, I don't even remember blinking. She's been sick recently, but it didn't slow her down. While battling a nasty cold she learned how to crawl, pull up, and let go while standing. In a matter of a week she went from a baby to an almost toddler! I'm currently in the midst of planning her first birthday party. The theme.. Princess and the Frog, after her favorite movie, haha.
